Holland is the land of the flowers in the spring. In the coast area you can find a lot of company’s that grow flowerbulbs.



In Anna Paulowna, every year they organize the “Flowerdays” in the beginning of may. Al the streets are full of flowers and they make beautifull paintings made of flowers.









Fruitfestival
In the south of Holland they grow a lot of fruit, like apples and pears. In septembre they organize a big parade of very beautifull cars full of fruit!






Traditional clothes
In Holland in the centre of the country there was a sea, but now it’s a lake, called: Ijsselmeer. There you have a very touristic village, called Volendam. Volendam is a town of fishermen. In Volendam people wear traditional clothes to please the tourists.





Also in other parts of the country people sometimes wear their traditional clothes.



Fierljeppen
In Friesland, in the north of Holland, they have a typical dutch tradition: “fierljeppen”. It is jumping over the water with the help of a big stick.

























                                                                      Marketday
In Holland, in the spring and summer, they organise open air markets everywhere. Also in Anna Paulowna. Near Anna Paulowna, in Schagen, there is every thursday a big market, called “Westrfriese markt”. A lot of people come to see the special parade of old carts, and of traditional clothes.
