1.Soccer The most famous clubs are
 Ajax                   plays football in the Amsterdam arena stadium (54000 spectators)
 Psv                     plays football in the Philips stadium (35000 spectators)
 Feyenoord    plays football in the Kuip stadium ( 52000 spectators)
 AZ                plays football in the Az stadium ( 35000 spectators)

2.Tennis the most famous dutch tennisplayer is Richard Kraijeck. 
He won the Wimbledon tournament in 1996.


3.Ice skating  The Netherlands has a really good ice skaters called Sven kramer and Ireen Wust.
The most famous tour is the ‘Elf Stedentocht’ where you skate through 11 Frisian cities and it’s longer then 200 km.


4.Cycling Joop Zoetemelk is the most famous cyclist of the Netherlands. He has also won the Tour De France.


5. Golf The best dutch golfplayer is Maarten Lafeber. Golf is a fast growing sport in Holland.
Everywhere new golf courses are being made.

 

6.Swimming Pieter van de Hoogenband and Inge de Bruin are the most famous swimmers in Holland.
They both won a lot of titles and medals and they also had a lot of worldrecords.

7.hockey This is the female hockeyteam.  They are world champion, Olympic champion and European champion .



8.Judo This sport is very popular in Holland. We have had a lot of famous judoka's, like Anton Geesink, Wim Ruska and later Dennis van der Geest,Mark Huizinga and Irene de Kok.
 
                                
                         
9.Running Our best runner was Ellen van Langen. She won the gold medal in 1992 on the 800 meter sprint on the Olympics in Barcelona.



10.Volleyball Our national team was very succesfull in the past
- 1988 – 5th place on the Seoul Olympics (national team)
- 1989 – 2nd place European championchips (national team)
- 1991 – 3rd place European championchips (national team)
- 1992 – Silver medal on the Barcelona Olympics (national team)
- 1996 – Gold medal on the Atlanta Olympics (national team
