Holland

Nederland means lowlands.

Nederland is called this way because parts of Nederland are lower than the sea level.

This is a lock

The deltaplan was constructed because there  was a fload in the coast of Sealand .

.

There were build dikes and dunes around the coast area to.

The dikes were build and the dunes are formed by nature.

With a lock we can control the water level

This is a map from Nederland and our school lies in the north of  North-Holland.

There are many different soils in Nederland and that means a various landscape.

 

                                           

The Nederlands is a little upper  orange country in the left on this map.

In Holland the big river Rhine ends in the sea. There you can find the port of Rotterdam, one of the biggest
ports of Europe
